If you’re on any social media app you must have definitely seen #bottlecapchallenge. It seems like a test of flexibility, precision and agility. But, why is it becoming such a famous challenge?
Maybe it seems like a new test everyone feels they have to excel in just to prove their fitness level and stay relevant in social media world? Or, its just something that will keep people and even animals busy for a few days!
What is the BottleCap Challenge?
The Bottle Cap Challenge was invented and started by Taekwondo instructor and fighter Farabi Davletchin on June 25th 2019. He challenged fitness celebrities to knock of the bottle cap with their leg.

Did it limit only to the Taekwondo or fitness world? Definitely not.
Starting from Akshay Kumar to cats, Mariah Carey to Jackie Chan and more, everyone’s doing the Challenge!
Any reason or cause behind it?
Unlike the Ice Bucket challenge, #bottlecapchallenge has no cause or reason. Its just trending because people are loving the action the Challenge provides!
Some like Yuvraj Singh did it with the Bat, some did with another bottle, Akshay Kumar did it like a professional while other celebrities even broke the trend and did their Challenge in a comical way by just opening the lid with their hand!
Others with an OCD even opened the bottle cap and put it back too!
Well, there were some disasters in the process of completion of the challenge..
There were some who just went ahead and drank water from the bottle. Atleast a way to remind people to stay hydrated, isn’t it? 🙂
So, what now?
If not the reason for it to be a major contributor for Global Warming, bottles are being popularised for this Challenge.
Now that fitness seems to be a status provider, more people are eager to showcase their prowess and feel validated in terms of their health.
Water could be unnecessarily wasted, glass bottles broken, pants torn and muscles pulled, but this may not slow down the Challenge. For it is on Social Media and nothing ever seems to be forgotten in that world.
