Cyber Stalking and Cyber Bullying: What is stalking and bullying in general?

Stalking means following a person and getting to know their information and harassing the. Bullying means torturing, threatening, blackmailing etc. Whenever we hear about cyberstalking or cyberbullying we automatically think that it is not that serious compared to offline stalking. So let’s shed some lights on the people who thinks that cyber stalking and cyber bullying have less risk and are not that important compared to offline stalking and Bullying.
Cyber stalking is a type if stalking where the stalker stalks the victim and tries to get all the victim’s information. The stalker stalks all the accounts and other things if the victim and tries to find out all the information about the victim. He may select the victim based in his likes and dislikes.
For example, if a stalker dislikes a celebrity, then he will keep track on everything that the celebrity does and will gain information about the celebrity. Not only that, he will also stalk all of his accounts. After gaining all the information, the stalker will blackmail the victim into releasing their private information. The stalker may even ask for ransom money for this. The stalker is willing to go to an extreme level in stalking and once he gets his mind on someone or something, he will not stop unless he finished doing his work. The stalker becomes an evil person and harasses the victim. He causes emotional damage to the victim.
Cyber stalking is also known as online stalking or it is other wise known as internet stalking, is a type of stalking where a person stalks an individual using the internet technology. Once they start liking or hating a person, they stalk them using internet in various social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.., threaten and harass them. They can stalk an individual by using emails and send them negative and hate comments. They stalkers even blackmail the victims and they falsely accuse them and slander them. It can make the victim feel stressed, anxious, nervous.
The cyber stalking and cyber bullying is increasing everyday. The excessive use of social media has paved more ways for the stalkers and bullies. By using the advanced internet technologies and new networks and social media platforms, it has been made easier for them to stalk and bully a particular person.
Cyber bullying is a type of bullying where the victim gets bullied by the bully. The bully targets a person and access all the data and information about the victim. He gets all the sensitive information about the victim and uses these information to blackmail the victim. He spreads false information and rumours about the victim and tortures the victim. He keeps on sending the victim hateful speech and uses abusive language. He not only harms the victim emotionally, but he also harm him mentally. Mostly they stalk and bully the females and causes them distress.
A person uses internet and social medias to threaten and harm an individual. Cyber harassment or cyber bullying is a term which means bullying, embarrassing, spreading false rumours, abusing, using hate speech and offensive language, manipulating. They can even harass the victims emotionally, sexually which can lead them towards suicidal thoughts, self-harm, anxiety, distress etc…
When the victims gets stalked and bullied they can’t take it which leads them to do suicide. They look physically fine but mentally they have become shattered. They cannot ever get over the fact that someone, whom they are not even aware of, somehow got all their information and their photographs and are using it against them and harassing them both sexually and mentally. They feel threatened and they do not even want to complaint about it and they do not even wish to share this with others because they feel suffocated and scared by how others will judge them. They just hide it and delete their accounts instead of taking strict actions against the stalkers and bullies.
Conclusion:
Therefore, it is a necessity that every person should be aware of these type of cyber stalking and cyber bullying. They should not let the stalkers and bullies get away but instead should file a complaint against them.
